For Lane and Brooke Bauer, designing and opening an ice cream shop started back in the summer of 2018 when the couple discovered the best ice cream they had ever tasted on a little island off the coast of Belize.  There, they began tossing around the idea of creating a place just like that… a place that exists solely for the purpose of making people happy! Their dream was finally realized in July of 2022, and they are eager to serve the community with the best ice cream Plano has ever tasted!

Brooke is a native Plano-ite and also spent many years as a teacher in the district.  Lane got here as fast as he could and has now lived in Plano longer than his birthplace of Stillwater, MN.  They have two grown children, McClaine and Grayson, who also grew up in Plano.

The shop offers a cozy, family-friendly environment with board games, fun options such as homemade cookie and brownie ice cream sandwiches, shakes in any flavor, cookie and brownie bowl sundaes, and much more.  Using only all natural, plant based flavors and colors in their ice cream, Local Creamery sources only the freshest and best ingredients.
